Balçova

 

Balçova thermal, or with its historical name Agamemnon thermal, is marked as a center of therapy with its healing waters for many centuries.
This is a thermal coming from archaic times, with a name originally belonging to Agamemnon, the King of Mycenae.

It leans against the skirts of a forest mountain, away from the crowded city and the noise of the traffic. All the beauties granted by the nature are at your feet here, in a comfortable, authentic, relaxing atmosphere.
Balçova and İnciraltı ports, are the nearest havens during summer for those who wish to take a cool breath, a place equally suitable for resting or entertainment with the Aqua Park, restaurants which literally touch the sea, tea gardens, cafes and shopping centers.

Museum Ships

At the İnciraltı Port the Aegean Frigateand the Piri Reis Submarine are atanchor, preserved and opened to the public as museum ships. This offersthe visitors a real and better look into the naval way of life. Historical symbols of the İzmir Bay, “The İzmir Boats” areexhibited on a platform opposite themuseum ships.

Art Center Of İzmir Municipalty: Ahmed Adnan Saygun

The Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center (AASSM), which hosts the first concert hall with an acoustic sound arrangement, is a place that art lovers who visit İzmir must absolutely step by. The AASSM which was established by transforming an old trolleybus station into an art center, hosts concerts, exhibitions and artistic performances continuously.
